Maybe I shouldn't be an equalist?
Sounds like the majority of the argument is about holding onto the history of feminism. Which is fine if it’s used to unite, but awful if it’s used as a crutch. It can be argued that many of the conflicts in the world are the result of two groups holding onto a history of hurt rather than seeking reconciliation. Of course, if I don’t like the term feminism because of conflict I’ve experienced, then, according to the article, I’m an ‘ass-kisser’. My bad. I guess I’ll just fall in line with her opinion then.
Also, what’s up with the generalizing statement ‘right-wing misogynist’? Forgive me if I’m wrong, but I was under the impression that feminism sought to affect change for people of all political stripes. Why, then, is feminism a movement that can only be claimed by the left-wing? Equality of opportunity (in the sense that anyone can do anything, and society should not get in the way) is, after all, a very right-wing idea.
